Sorry, I haven't written in quite some time...however, I have a great excuse. My wife and I have been training for the Little Rock Marathon!!! That's right, we're going to complete the 26.26 mile track on March 2nd, 2008 no matter what. I didn't say we'll be running the whole thing but we WILL cross that finish line! (I gotta keep saying that for movitation) We know it's crazy, but it's just one of those things we always wanted to do and we're not getting any younger! :) Wish us the best of luck and I promise to write more once this mission is accomplished! Does the girl got a girlfriend??? That's the latest rumor after Rhianna was spotted in these pictures. I really could care less, but it is a little shocking seeing that she was reportedly with that guy from Transformers last week. I got the chance to meet her at the B.E.T. Awards in L.A. this year and all I can say is that she's a sweet person, who needed a new stylist...and she got one! So, as long as she's happy...I'm happy for her. (More pix below)

Moving on to relevant information...I will not be going to Jena, LA afterall. A judge threw out all the adult charges on the Jena 6, thank goodness!!! The protest that was planned for Sept. 20th will still be going on as far as I know though, becuase some of the kids are still in jail. If your interested in riding on the bus please call the NAACP.

Good, as in Megan Good!!! I got so many calls and e-mails to see these pix, I had to post them on here for ya! I didn't know she was so popular to be honest, but maybe it's just her outfit!

Ladies, do you think about the flash of a camera seeing through your shirt when deciding not to wear a bra? Just curious. I think you should be able to wear or not wear pretty much whatever you want, but I just hear about the celebs getting mad about pix like this coming out. I would think you know there's always a chance when you make that decision about the bra or not...but, maybe not, let me know what you think.

I know, I've been gone for a while and I'm sorry...I know should have been updating this more frequently. However, to make up for it...let me introduce you to a friend of mine, Brandon Weeks!!!

I first met Brandon on the football field last year at the Delta Classic for Literacy. I didn't remember much about him on that day, just the fact that he was playing football with the rest of us kids. :)

I haven't heard from Brandon since, but appearently he's been hearing a lot of me. Frequent trips from Pine Bluff to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock were made a little bit better by jammin' Power 92!!! You can't beat it for the price!

Over the last month however, Brandon hasn't been able to listen to the radio. I imagne he hasn't been able to do a lot of things like excerise or even eat somedays. Brandon was diagnosed with Lukemia and just last week had a pancreatic attack that almost killed him.

So, when his mother called me on the request line and asked if I could go by to see him...it wasn't a matter of if, but when....what a great honor! We made plans for Sunday and his smile when I walked in the room was priceless. A moment I'll never forget. His strength and spirit was a joy to be around and I can truly say the pleasure was all mine.

After I asked how he was doing, he turned around and asked me about the B.E.T. Awards! Pretty amazing, considering everything else he could be thinking about. Luckly, I was prepared and gave him my program from the Awards show! Also, Brandon is first person to recieve the new Everyday All Day Gear for 07'! (which will be available to you on July 21st)

Brandon's dad, cousins, and other family memebers were there too and let me tell you...it's great to have people like that by your side. My family has a long history of Cancer, so I understand how it can be when a loved one is going through Kemo and all that.

Brandon will turn 15 on July 15th, so I told him if he's still stuck in the hospital I'll come by and beat him down in a couple video games on the PlayStation 2!!! :) Hopefully, with your thoughts and prayers for Brandon...you'll save him from the beat down and he'll be out by then. But, if not...let's all wish him a Happy Birthday!!!!

WOW!!! Juneteenth 07' was thee biggest and best one yet, for sure, and here's why:

1. It sold out 2 weeks in advance!

2. Over 30 acts performed!

3. No drama!

4. Over 10,000 Power People!

5. Weather was perfect!

In fact, the only things that could have made it better for me was that I didn't have to work on the air and I wish T-Pain would have left out the curse words in his prayer to God....but, other than that.....It was off thy chain!

If you were there, you know what I'm talking about, thanks for the love!!! (and I wanna see your pictuers) If you missed it, get your tickets early next year, it WILL be bigger and better again next year!!!

In his own words he, "put faith and family first," and what do you know...it all worked out. The best thing that happened yesterday was his daughter's (Tatum) successful surgey, no doubt. However, he likely saved other kids' lives as well by bringing awareness to Retinoblastoma. I'm very happy and proud to say Derek is a friend of mine...I already knew what kind of person he was, so it didn't come as a suprise. Just one example of his goodness is how he donates his time and personal items every year for my lil' ol' Celebrity Birthday Bowling Bash!

Notice that I haven't even mentioned the actual playoff game...and come to think about it, I won't. Even though basketball is very important to him, it's not life and today our thoughts go out to D Fish, Mrs. Fish, Ms. Fisher, Tatum and the entire family! We love ya'll!!!

I will be very interested to see how this political season turns out. I think I could tell you already what is going to happen, but we will wait and see. The media is already going crazy as the two leading Democratics are a woman and multi-racial man. I haven't seen an in-depth interview with Hillary Clinton yet, but this weekend I did see one with Barack Obama and if you missed it...you won't believe this:

Long time CBS news program 60 minutes asked Obama....and I quote: "When did you decide to be black?" WOW!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?!?!? I'm still in shock! A "professional" reporter asking a question like that!??!?! If I was in that position I would have went off, however to Obama's credit he just simply stated, "I don't believe I was the one who made that decision. People like the taxi drivers who pass me up everyday decide that."

When he is asked to describe his ethincity (which all people should be allow to state for themselves, in my opinion) he always states he is multi-racial, his father is Kenyan and his mother is a white woman from Kansas.

60 minutes goes on to say, "Besides everything else you have going against you...your middle name is Hussien and your last name rhymes with most wanted terrorist in the world."

A-B-C-DeeeeeeeGUSTING!!!!!!!! Let me stop before I get on a roll, but please leave me your comments on this because I would love to hear what you think about it.

Tragedy stuck this week in Little Rock. Roshundalyn Jenae Scribner was killed at the age of 17. I met her a few times and she struck me as a very sweet and beautiful young woman. Unfortunately, we will never know the depths of her great potential. I know the students at Hall High School where she was the student class president greatly miss her as does the community. Roshundalyn is truely someone that will never be forgotten.

I know her mother much better than I knew Roshundalyn. Her mother comes up to my job several times a year and I can't imagne how hard this must be for her. The rapper Tela once said, "One thing in life I never wanna see...is my kids dying before me." I paraphrased a bit, however the point is that feeling is one all parents must have. That's just one of the reasons I wanna to post this, in case you would like to give to the Roshundalyn Jenae Scribner Memorial Fund:

Look at this pic! Can you believe it!?!?! Someone "de-faced" the only civil rights statues on a capitol's grounds in the south!!! Federal charges could be filed if they find the perpitraitor(s). Do you understand the magintude of this???

I don't. Personally, I think it's great!!! I am glad it was taken down immeaditely and I think whoever did it could have done a better job, but federal charges are a little much to me. The connection bewteen art and life is a beautiful thing and I believe John Deering, the creator of these statues did a wonderful job with the Little Rock Nine. He made statues of the "kids" for the kids. They can be touched, hugged, and kissed! (by the way, I've seen all of the above) People love them in more ways than one and this was just someone's expression of that, in my opinion.
